Warranty covers defects in workmanship and OEM components installed by MTS. Damage from misuse, contaminated gas supply, or unauthorized modification is excluded.
Certificate of Service & Calibration
Every blender ships back with a serialized certificate documenting the exact work performed, the calibration standard used, and the FiO₂ readings at each test point — ready to drop into your medical equipment management binder.

Biohazard Shipping Requirements
Air/oxygen blenders used in clinical settings are regulated as potentially contaminated medical devices. To protect handlers and comply with federal regulations, every shipment must meet the following requirements before it leaves your facility.
Required Before Shipping
- • Decontaminate each blender per CDC/OSHA guidelines using an EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant
- • Affix a "Decontaminated" tag to every unit with date and technician initials
- • Cap or plug the Air and O₂ inlet fittings and the outlet barb
- • Bag each unit individually in a sealed clear poly bag
- • Include a signed Decontamination Certificate inside the carton (we email a template with your order)
Packaging & Carrier Compliance
- • Use a rigid corrugated outer carton with at least 2" of cushioning on all sides
- • Decontaminated medical devices ship as standard ground freight (FedEx, UPS, USPS) — do not ship as UN3373 Category B
- • Untreated / known-contaminated units must not be shipped. They are regulated medical waste under DOT 49 CFR §173.196 and require a licensed medical-waste hauler
- • Comply with IATA Packing Instruction 650 if shipping by air
- • Write your service order number on two sides of the outer carton
Compliance reference: OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR §1910.1030(d)(2)(xiii), CDC Guideline for Disinfection and Sterilization in Healthcare Facilities (2008, updated 2019), DOT 49 CFR §173.196 / §173.197, IATA DGR Packing Instruction 650, and ANSI/AAMI ST79. Shipments arriving without proof of decontamination will be refused at our facility at the shipper's expense.
